GTA V - Playing with any character (With OFFLINE instructions!)

That's the article definitive version, but it may have some language errors, please tell me if you find one.   

Working in the Xbox 360 and PS3, the new-gen wasn't tested yet.

There's no need for a modded video-game!!!

                                 It ain't easy and the game may freeze sometimes..

 When selecting the new character give prefference to the  IG_ ones since they have they own dialogues, ways to walk, shoot and etc... There are some characters that doesn't have an fulll IG_ model such as Michelle and JhonnyK try to use the CS_ ones.
 (but is possible to select others...)

 First install the most recently version of GTA V SAVE EDITOR and SP MODEL SWAPPER.

 Now in your game, (not in a car), quicksave your game in an pendrive.  (Remember the character you were using while saving!!)

 Plug in the pendrive in your pc and enter in GTA V SAVE EDITOR and click in OPEN DEVICE, find your save game in there. (Auto Save will not work!)

 It will ask you to make a backup, do it if you want,

 Now click in the menu option Block in the left, select PSIN, and then click on Extract.

  Extract it to anywhere you want.

 Now open the SP MODEL SWAPPER and find and open the PSIN file that you just extracted.

Now the best part of the tutorial, you can choose between doing it Online or Offline

( I saw the Offline method in GTA FORUMS thanks!)

 Online (Easy)

This mode is easier and was made for those who has an Xbox Live Gold Account or an
internet connection on the PS3, on SP MODEL SWAPPER.
 Select the player that you was playing when you quicksaved the game and in the other box, select the NPC that you want to play with.

 Click in the SWAP button,then click in save and then save it as PSIN replacing the other PSIN file.

 Get back to GTA V SAVE EDITOR and back to the Block menu, select once again PSIN and click in Replace, and select the modded PSIN file..

 Now click on the characters menu in the left  and select the protagonist that you were playing when you quicksaved.

Now click on Save File on the left menu, wait and done, remove the pendrive and put him back on the Xbox 360 or PS3.

 Load the modded save file, and if you did it alright the game will freeze, don't worry that's normal.

As I said  the game will be freezed so you will not be able to move your character, press PAUSE and enter in any session of the GTA ONLINE (even solo) and now in GTA ONLINE, press down and select the character you was playing when quicksaved, in my case Michael.

 Now it's going to take a while to load and... Tadaa, you're now playing with an non-playable character.

 You can alternate between the protagonists, even mod more of them but you can only do this by the GTA ONLINE.

 ( Yes you can be banned,but it never happen and i'ts very probable that it isn't going to happen, because this mod has nothing to do with GTA ONLINE (Only the unfreezing part), if possible don't share photos in the snapmatic.)

Offline (Hard)

 This is an harder way to do this. 

 After extracting the PSIN open it with the SP MODEL SWAPPER, now on the right part ( SWAP MISC MODELS ) select Amanda, Jimmy, or Lamar (Amanda if you have quicksaved with michael, Jimmy if you have quicksaved with Michael,Trevor or Franklin and Lamar if you have quicksaved with Franklin or Trevor.) and swap it with the character you want to play, now in the left part select any character BUT NOT the player that you quicksaved, I know it's a bit hard to understand but the following picture may explain better:

 Click in both "swap" buttons, and then click in save and then save as PSIN replacing the other PSIN file.

 Get back to GTA V SAVE EDITOR and on the menu click on Block and select PSIN and then click in the Replace button and select your modded PSIN file that we've just saved. Now simply click in save file.

 Now insert the pendrive back to Xbox 360 and PS3 and load the modded pendrive save file.

 The game will start normally, I've "Swaped" Lamar, so, with Trevor or Franklin (MAKE SURE TO USE  THE CHARACTER THAT YOU HAVE QUICKSAVED TO GO TO THE MEET),.

 I'll call Lamar and invite him to hangout, when you arrive in the hangout place, you will notice that Lamar skin has changed to the one that you want (In my case Michelle), hang out with him *or her xD*  (don't go play tennis or golf) the Theater is the best option, after the movie is over or skipped leave him/her to his house and you will notice that in the final dialogue he/she will have the voice of the protagonist that you've swapped, after the hangout is over, alternate immediately to the character you've swapped (in my case Michael) now it's done!! You will be playing with the NPC you wanted!

ATT: You cannot save with the NPC do the GTA ONLINE Method or Hangout Method when you want to play with the NPC once again.

You can also play with dogs and other animals in the GTA ON Method (doesn't work with the hangout one)
